Do you sign with your baby? I did with both of my girls and I’m a big proponent of it. I still sign with my 21 month old who doesn’t say very many words yet. Unfortunately, we’re not as diligent with her as we were with my older daughter or she’d probably be speaking a lot more by now. She does use a few signs consistently though.
We own several Signing Time videos and my 4 yr. old who has been watching them since she was about 1 still adores them. I actually need to start showing them to my 21 month old more. She just recently started watching TV at all and she is a bit addicted to Elmo’s World right now. However, these videos are very fun and educational and I know she’d enjoy them as much as her sister does.
If you want to try baby signing out you can order the Baby Signing Time Vol. 1 DVD/CD and get two Free Signing Time DVDs with it!

Now that I’m sitting here putting this post together it’s making me realize how much more I have to work on this with my youngest. There is a night and day difference between her and my oldest who I worked on it consistently with. My oldest has always been very advanced in speaking and vocabulary and my youngest who I haven’t worked with nearly as diligently still isn’t saying much at 21 months old. Going to have to get her watching these.
You can take a look and order yours HERE if you think you want to get started. It’s really easy to do and you’ll be amazed at how early your baby can start communicating with you. I can’t speak highly enough of baby signing and how useful and beneficial it is.
