I just wanted to quickly report on our time at the circus last night. I will start of by saying it is great family entertainment! My girls, ages 2 and 4, really had a fantastic time. They were a little overwhelmed and scared at first from all the people and crowds, but as soon as we got in our seats they were both as happy as could be. I delighted the most in just seeing their excitement.
As for the show, there was a large variety of acts from clown performances, acrobats, aerialists, strong men, the animal acts including horses, tigers elephants and more! Some of the stunts that are performed are pretty amazing. Some admittedly did not keep my girls attention, but they are young and being that the show is over 2 hours long that didn’t surprise me at all. I can say though that they were happy til the end and when they weren’t paying attention to the show they were content playing with their light up toys and drinking snow cones from a clown cup. As a frugal blogger though I do have to note that that stuff is way overpriced. We spent a lot more than I would have liked to on it, but they did keep the girls happy and entertained.
If you are planning on going with your little ones, I also recommend you bring some snacks and drinks for them. It helps keep them happy and that way you don’t have to spend as much on the high priced snacks and drinks at the show. Other than that, just be prepared to have a good time. I think it is great entertainment for all ages. My little one passed out as soon as we got in the car and my husband, 4 year old and I discussed which were our favorite parts. My daughter liked the aerialists, the guys in the circles who go outside and inside them (her words and pictured at top of post) and her new toy. Lol!
