Buyers Beware: Do not buy from Anne-Shoes.com!!! Read below to find out what you might get in the mail from them instead of shoes if you do!
As you may have read in my School Uniform Polo Shirts for $4 post, my daughter is starting kindergarten on August 1. I’m trying to get ahead of the game because I know this summer is going to fly by. So I bought some uniforms the other day and then proceeded to buy some shoes last night.
Keds Kids Taylor Lace
My daughter and I agreed on the Keds Taylor Lace Sneakers we found on 6pm.com. I always check 6pm first because they have great prices on shoes and free shipping. But the Taylor Lace shoes were only 18% off so I did a quick search to see if I could find them anywhere else for less. I googled ‘Keds Kids Taylor Lace (toddler/youth)’ which I copied and pasted from 6pm.com and found a listing for them at anne-shoes.com. And wow, they were on sale for only $17.10 ($30.99 on 6pm)!
My first thought was “What a great deal! I wonder what shipping costs?” So I did a little searching on their site and found that they had really great deals on just about every brand shoe you could think of. Then I started to think that their prices were a little too good to be true. Anyway, it was late so I decided to go to bed and finish my little shopping venture in the morning.
The first thing I did when I woke up was get back to my shoe shopping. I found 2 more pairs of Keds that I loved on this Anne-Shoes at irresistible prices. So I added them to my cart and proceeded to check out. But before I completed my checkout and made payment via Paypal I listened to my gut. My gut was telling me that something wasn’t right about this site.
I had created an account during checkout and got a ‘Welcome’ email from them. I checked out their contact section to see if their was a phone number for them which there wasn’t, only email. I googled a coupon code for them as they were asking for one at checkout and there was no mention of them on any of the big coupon code sites. That was biggest red flag for me!
Anyway, there was just something really fishy about this site and their super low prices. So upon further research I found this, Scambook: Anne-shoes.com. Apparently there have been 93 complaints filed against them with a total of $14,431.81 in damages. Even worse than that, there are reports that they are sending people shower caps and mosquito bracelets in place of the shoes they ordered. This is part of the scam so that they are able to give Paypal a tracking number.
I’m not sure why they still have an account with Paypal with all of these complaints and people receiving junk instead of shoes. But apparently they do and are still able to take your money. I wanted to get this warning out because I googled other shoes to find this site pop up on several occasions.
So beware and DO NOT buy from Anne-Shoes.com!! You know what they say, if it seems too good to be true, it probably is!!

Hello,
I just had the same thing happen to me from this website but I havent received any thing like a shower cap yet. I just filed a big complaint with pay pal and I wanted to see if i may have your permission to give them this website as proof that they are scamming people
Thank you
Michelle says
Hi Nikki, Sorry to hear that. Feel free to send them this post but I think you’d do better to send them the Scambook link. Or send both. I’m shocked Paypal hasn’t shut them down yet.

Oh thank goodness I checked around the web before I checked out at anne-shoes. Phew! Saved myself quite the hassle!
Thank you SO much for the head’s up!

Thank you, thank you for sparing me the aggravation of ordering through this site. I too thought it was a great price for the shoes I was looking at buying…and when I went to look for a discount code I didn’t see the site even mentioned by commonly used links for discount codes…I definitely found that strange. How is it possible that this is able to happen so blatantly? Terrible. Thank you for the heads up also.
MR says
And, did you notice that the site’s link is spelled ‘www.anne-shoes.com,’ yet the page itself says ‘www.ann-shoes.com?’ One WITH an ‘e’ and the other without. Bizarre.
Michelle says
Hmmm, didn’t even catch that. That’s another red flag. Wow! Why hasn’t Paypal shut them down yet?
KC says
Thank you! Same thing, went to find a coupon code and got your website… I thought the price was too good to be true!! I can’t thank you enough for the warning!
Kim says

I was not as savvy as you. I was taken for $108 and did receive a shower cap from China. PayPal wasn’t helpful in my dispute as the seller had a tracking number. Thankfully, I used my Mastercard via PayPal and Citibank gave me my money back. I will always use a credit card when I buy something through PayPal.
Michelle says
Wow Wynette! Sorry to hear that. Glad you got your money back though. I can’t believe these guys are still getting away with this. Shame on Paypal!

Wow! I too got taken by Ann-shoes! Paypal paid from my bank account, and I’m still waiting to hear from them. A package did arrive, but the box was tiny! No where near big enough for a pair of mens shoes. The mailman said to write on the box “refused” so there would be no dispute over the contents being switched. That is what I did, and notified PayPal of same. We’ll see what happens. I also supplied Paypal with the scambook link.
Michelle says
That stinks! At this point I am really disappointed in Paypal for not shutting down their account yet. They must have hundreds of complaints by now.
Yet another very pissed off customer says
I TO CANNOT BELIEVE PAYPAL HAS NOT PUT A STOP TO THIS AS WELL. AS WITH A VERY BUSY LIFE STYLE I HAD WONDERED WHERE MY SHOES THAT I HAD ORDER HAD GONE AS THEY GOT THERE PAYMENT ASAP.
AND THEN I WENT BACK ON TO THERE SITE TO WRITE THEM AS THERE IS NO # AND TOLD THEM IF I I DIDNT RECEIVE MY PURCHASE, AND I WILL BE CONTACTING PAYPAL IF I DONT HEAR FROM THEM. WELL LOW AND BEHOLD I RECEIVED A SPONGE FROM CHINA WRITTEN IN CHINESE AND ALMOST DIDNT OPEN IT AS I WAS CONFUSED TO WHAT IT WAS, WELL A NICE PINK 25 CENT SPONGE IS WHAT I GOT. I HAD NO IDEA WHY I GOT IT. LATER I WENT TO SEE IF THERE WAS A REPLY FROM THEM, NOPE NO REPLY, WELL WHEN I GOOGLED THEM AGAIN I CAME ACROSS ALL THESE BEWARES OF THEM AD COMPLAINTS. I CALLED PAYPAL RITE AWAY AS I NOTICED SOMEONE ELSE ALSO HAD RECEIVED A SPONGE. AND THANK GOODNESS I DID, DO YOU KNOW YOU ONLY HAVE 45 DAYS TO MAKE A COMPLAINT?? WELL I WAS ONLY DAYS FROM MISSING MY DISPUTE. HOPE I GET MY MONEY BACK, AND I HOPE PAYPAL SHUTS THEM DOWN!!! THIS IS NOT RITE!!!
THANKS FOR THE INFO. ONLY WISH I WOULD HAVE FOUND IT SOONER!
I GUESS THE OLD RULE OF THUMB WILL ALWAYS APPLY:
“IF IT’S TO GOOD TO BE TRUE, IT PROBLY IS!!”

I cant believe they took there money from PayPal the same day I ordered, and 3wkd later had received nothing. So I emailed them through the one they had listed with PayPal and told them if I didnt hear from them I was going to report them to PayPal. With no response I remembered I had to sign in so I looked them up and looked for a # they dont have one and noticed my purchase was pending?? So I emailed them again same message, If I didnt hear from them I was going to PayPal. Well unfortunatly I never came across any of these sites to have heads up. Low and behold I get a suspicious pkg in the mail, it was weird and written in all chinese from china, so confused I had my postman open it, weird but we laughed as it was only a small pink kitchen sponge. Well not knowing why I received it or where it came from I set it aside.
Well a couple of more days pass and still nothing from them. I was determined to get to the end of this! I got on the computer and forgot the site so I googled “Anne-Shoes” and it lead me to about 6 diffrent site all with beware, dont buy, scam, well I click the first one just to see what everyone was talking about and yep you guessed it, She received “A SPONGE” to! My heart dropped I contacted PayPal with a dispute. Only to come back to the site to find out they had been doing this for some time and PayPal seems to be well aware of this and the disappointment in people knowing that PayPal has not put a stop to them using them as a pawn to lure people in. Well Iwrote my letter to PayPal and le tthem know that I am now another number in this sad scam. But I also made them well aware that this issue is now going to public as there is enough evidence, and well enough cases as well as blogs for this to come to a stop. And to find out that if youdont report it within 45 days they win and you lose. Thats Sad!
Well I wish you all well and I am sorry I didnt find the warnings sooner!!
Write PayPal and let them know what you think! It seems that they have to be force to make a change or the number of people scammed will just keep adding up

I also bought 2 pairs of shoes from Anne Shoes and received a pencil in the mail. I was able to get my money back from Paypal, but buyer beware. They now have over 300 complaints on Scrambook totaling more than $140K in damages!
