I shared with many of you on Facebook the other day about this fun new candle and the ring I got out of mine. Diamond Candles is a company that had the idea for soy scented candles with a ring in every one. Neat idea, but to be honest, when I first heard of them I thought ‘Oh right, it’s probably some bubble gum machine ring.’ I thought for sure every candle probably had some $10 piece of junk in it. To my surprise each one I’ve seen so far, including my own, has been really quite nice. They actually have rings valued at $10, $100, $1,000 or $5,000 in every one! So if you missed mine on Facebook, here it is again…
The picture actually doesn’t do it justice because the stone is a really pretty pink. I’m wearing it right now and have been since I got it out because it’s actually a gorgeous ring (even if it may be worth only $10). It was also really fun and exciting anticipating and waiting for the wax to melt low enough to grab the ring. I have to admit, I have no patience and dug mine out probably a little sooner than I should have. But it didn’t damage the candle and the rings are nicely wrapped in a foil and little ziplock baggie so they don’t get wax all over them. I was pleasantly surprised with my find.
As for the candle itself, I got the Pomegranate Lemonade and from the minute I opened the box and smelled it I was really impressed with the scent. It looks like they have about 25 different flavors to choose from and I’m already anxious to try some more. They fill your home with a very nice aroma when lit that is not too over bearing. They also come in a nice looking glass jar. The candles are just under 3 lb’s and are 3.5 inches in diameter and about 6 1/2 inches tall. They are made from 100% soy wax and are made with lead-free wicks.
After trying them, I have a whole new outlook. The candles are nice looking and smell really good. The idea of a ring in every one is super fun! I actually found a Facebook group (not affiliated with the company) where people are buying, selling and trading the rings they find. It was a good place to go and look at all the different types of rings that are coming out of the candles. Again I was pleasantly surprised at the large variety and beauty of them all.
Individual candles are only $24.95 each and sample packs of 5 candles are $124.75. To see the vast assortment or to make a purchase head to the Diamond Candles website HERE. Also be sure to check out their Facebook page HERE.
I was given the opportunity to review the Diamond Candles with a great group of bloggers and to bring a giveaway to you. Each of the bloggers listed below wrote their own review if you want to check out what others have to say and see what their rings looked like.
